About Our Collections:
Our purpose is to make your world a more beautiful place one piece of art at a time. We make one-of-a-kind wall hangings, bowls, platters, vases, small tools (pens, pencils, desk sets, bottle stoppers, grooming tools, etc.), ornaments, Urns, and many other custom turnings. We use local and reclaimed materials, American made parts, and our own knowledge and skills. Our studios are open to visit and to learn. We will happily discuss tools, techniques, and training with you over coffee. You can find us at numerous events and fine art shows, and you can contact us any time. We welcome custom orders, and we can personalize any piece.
Gina K Collection artisans are:
Perfectionists: We insist on excellence; quality materials, findings and finishes as well as quality workmanship. Materials must be carefully chosen to showcase their best attributes in the finished item, making each piece a beautiful and functional part of your everyday life.
Eco-Conscious: We use reclaimed materials whenever possible, reducing the amount of “trash” going to landfills. In many cases, reclaiming is the only available way to include a material in a work. In this way, we support our natural environment.
Teachers: A big part of traditional hand craftsmanship is apprenticing; a period of learning under a master through hands-on activity. Through one-on-one instruction, we pass on these values and skills the way our forebears did, with patience and reverence for our craft.
“A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist” ~ Louis Nizer
